BLIP's mission is to make seizure tracking simpler, more accessible and more inclusive, empowering individuals with reliable health data and a greater understanding of their condition.

Seizures affect people in vastly different ways, yet many existing tracking methods fail to reflect this diversity. BLIP aims to bridge that gap by developing a wearable device designed to accommodate as many seizure types and experiences as possible, including both epileptic and non-epileptic seizures.

Our ambition is to create a solution that works not just for patients, but for everyone involved in their care.

The BLIP Mission

Empowering Patients

Living with seizures can bring significant uncertainty and consistently tracking episodes can be challenging. BLIP aims to simplify this process through an accessible, everyday wearable that allows users to record seizure events in real time alongside supporting biosensor data.

Through a companion app, users will be able to review their recorded information, identify potential patterns and develop a clearer understanding of their condition, giving them greater ownership of their health data.

Supporting Parents and Carers

For parents and carers managing seizures can be particularly challenging, especially when children or loved ones are at school, with friends or away from home.

BLIP aims to provide greater reassurance by making seizure records easier to access and review, helping families build a clearer picture of episodes that may otherwise be difficult to document.

By reducing the burden of tracking, we hope to give parents and carers greater confidence and support when navigating decisions about care.

Informing Clinical Decisions

Reliable seizure data is valuable not only to patients but also to the medical professionals responsible for their care.

BLIP aims to make recorded seizure information accessible and meaningful to clinicians providing a clearer overview of episode frequency, duration and associated physiological data.

By helping bridge gaps in patient-reported information BLIP hopes to support more informed clinical discussions, treatment reviews and personalised approaches to seizure management.

Looking Ahead

BLIP's vision extends beyond seizure tracking. By improving access to consistent, meaningful health data we hope to contribute to a greater understanding of seizure conditions and support future clinical research.

Because better data can lead to better understanding, more informed decisions and a more individualised approach to seizure care.
